Originally from Michigan she moved to Bay County in 2017 and shortly after became the Northwest Regional Leader of Free Mom Hugs. Trisha's daughter came out as lesbian when she was a sophomore in high school and she became a fierce advocate for her and eventually not just for her, but all marginalized people.

2019 Bay Pride was her first event here in Bay County and she rallied her daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and a few other local moms to the first official Free Mom Hugs booth. Within hours she knew that our community needed Mom hugs.  They gave out over 50 hugs in the first 1.5 hours! Outside of volunteering she enjoys spending time with family, hiking with her dog, and lazy days at our beautiful beaches.
